The 8th August 2021 at the Wynnstay Hotel was a resounding success.
35 Parkinsons condition sufferers, their partners, volunteers & speakers joined together to make the day a "Conversation & Information" event.
The speakers included Louise Idoux from Oswestry Herbarium, Natalie Mincher-Lockett - speech therapist who had us all shouting at the tops of our voices, Celia MacIntytre from Shropshire Council who talked to the carer/companions, Jamie Jenkins, from Coleg Cambria who had us all moving & grooving, Michelle Simmonds from Lanyon Bowdler Solicitors in Oswestry, who gave a talk on Power of Attorney & a moving tale from Gareth of Home Instead who spoke about his fathers journey with the condition.
The day was rather full & any repeats will be shorter & easier to take in. rather that loads of info at too fast a pace.
BUT it was our first venture & we all learned a lot!!
